I would gladly help you out if you need to try a few things before the course. Wet sanding etc. Detailing for over 20 odd years now. I'm a rotary man myself and not a DA so if I can be of help let me know.
Gladly tell you about equipment, polish, sealants/waxes, paint gauges. I'm sure you get the picture.
Mainly do classics myself and have my clients so not wishing for anymore.

Anyway. Drop me a message if you like. Not far from you.

Russell.

Russell thankyou very much, once ive completed the training i would love to pick your brains alittle further , maybe i could come and spend a day with you so i know the best way to organise things in my shop , although it wont be the main service of my business it certainly will be popular i image, i will also be a one man band and dont wish to grow massively to the point where i need bigger premises or staff, once i reach comfortable workload for myself, i will be stopping at that point.

i will invest in a blower also!!! Another area im really excited to get into. Russell i will be in touch very soon!!!

Add a DI vessel as well and in combination with the blower the best of both worlds.

Russell ive just brought a pet dryer on your recommendation 2800W and theirs actual so many uses for this for me, i dont no why i didn't think of it sooner, i must say thanks to yourself and PVR as i simply wouldn't have used my brain enough to get to this solution. Apart from the use above, i can use this to blow off the car before a wrap, i can use it to dry the specific area after prepping for a wrap, this will be invaluable for me, save time and looks great to clients when they see the cars being air dried.

THANKS guys!!!!

Glad to be of help. Been in this business a very long time and hopefully I will never stop learning also.
Always a pleasure to pass what I have learned along the way to others.
The Vessel that PVR mentioned is as important as the blower to me also as no water spots to contend with.

interestedly the "PET" blowers are literally identical to the car blowers which cost 2-3 times more!!! i paid 57.99 for one of ebay with fantastic reviews, 2800 W variable speed, cold or warm / Hot temp ranges.

Just shows how much the Detailing supply industry is taking people for mugs. Been pet blowers around for years then someone decided to put a fancy name on one and sell it for £200.

the exact same thing via google search with car logos stuck to it, made by the same manufacturer priced at 174.99. crazy

The only difference I found was the length of the hose. Mine has the long hose, so I went for the expensive car one

ill stick the thing on my back if i have too!!! lol!!!

Mine came with wheels, so I can wheel it around the car and wrap the hose over my shoulder to avoid any risk of the host falling / touching the car.

Id guess thats where the extra money went and it makes sense i guess.... for us mere porpers ill have to improvise and carry the thing!!

They all look to be a very similar design at around the £45 mark.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-2800W-Cat-Dog-Pet-Hair-Dryer-Blaster-Blower-Heater-Grooming-Hairdryer/192466725194?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3Df108499bdec54547aa93cbaf99ab9a4a%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252980178609%26itm%3D192466725194&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

i bought the anti rust for the brake disks as well to stop the pads sticking to them. Works pretty well after my first tests. Hate it when washing a car and parking it afterwards that they completely seize.

No more though.

Here are the wheels you can use for the pet dryer

oh wow!! perfect!!

it arrived yesterday and the power level at 2800W is bonkers!! the hose is 3 metres long and seems to be more than long enough, my son and i had a real laugh blowing everything around the house! lol. i'm going to swap the power cable to a 8 metre one and i think it will give me good service for my requirements, maybe if i do well ill upgrade in a few years.

Mine arrived today. The power is unbelievable!! If you let go of the hose it thrashes around like an anaconda with an elephant stood on it’s tail!!! God knows what the neighbors will think when they see me blowing the car with a giant hairdryer 🙈

hahahahahahah

my son and i had a right laugh blowing everything we could all over the house.... as above the power level is BONKERS. Ill actually be able to use this to blow dust off the car and tight spaces before wrap work..... This will be a really well used tool in my workshop.
