7mm allen key is your friend :)

and don't tighten the bolts when you intend to loosen them - you'll feel like an idiot when you realise what you're doing!

They will probably have rubber or plastic covers over them

I've cleaned the calipers up on our E89, but still deciding whether to paint them or not?

Original choices were black or silver calipers, but having seen the gold BMW performance calipers, I think they look pretty good as well against Black Sapphire, choices, choices ...

was also looking at the BMW performance ones but cant justify that cost and dont need that much stopping power...

@tomscott, i've definitely noticed your calipers before, they look very nice but i'm still undecided on the green or orange!

I think blue is the way to go ! :D

Silver with blue looks nice, actually.

+1 Looks good.

I've decided to go for gloss black for now to go with the black sapphire paintwork. Will post some pictures up once they are done.

Now then folks - not too keen on the blue - any other suggestions - or preferably photos of colours for the calipers - my Z is sterling silver - any one got photos of the gold on their car - quite appeals. Thoughts?

What paint is everyone using? :?

I used foliatec its good stuff.

Thing is you can always paint them again if you dont like them. Best thing to do is do a PS to see what you prefer.

I think red is overdone but thats just my personal preference. Yellow is good as it is BMW Performance colour like a member did recently with his on a big break system:

My preferences were Yellow, Orange and Blue.

Went with orange because only seen one Z with it and Orange and silver/grey are contrasting colours. Many sports brands use this in their advertising, its the same with Yellow.

Great pics Tom. Are the darker 10 spoke alloys your second set for the weekend?

Thanks :)

The dark set are the OEM wheels sprayed in gunmetal, and will hopefully will use them as track wheels as they have a brand new set of Mich PS on them. I dont like them really or the style. I dont think they are aggressive enough, so swapped them with the CSLs

This is the way to go

But you will have to be careful

The stopping power will be immense :o

If I was doing mine would definitely be yellow or gold or possibly a similar colour to current OEM just to keep them looking tidy.

The problem with a contrasting colour is that it draws attention to the rather weedy looking calipers we have!!
