Good old Russell - you either love him or hate him !

I buy the Mail ( ) on Saturdays only to get what I consider to be the best tv guide - the Mail has been trying to stir up a hate campaign against RB for years - last week devoted a double page spread lambasting him for his performance on Newsnight ( Brilliant ) whilst promoting his new book - this week another 2 page spread about Sachsgate - apparently Russell has tried to make amends by writing to Andrew saying how sorry he was to have upset him and his family - the Mail printed Andrew's wife's response saying how distraught they still are over what he and JR did 6 years ago - give me a break and pass the sick bucket !!!!

Russell is a one off without doubt - reckon he should go in to politics and team up with Boris don't you all agree ?

Refreshing to hear some conviction politics rather than the carefully crafted and agreed through committee statements trotted out by all other politicians.

Career politicians - do me a favour. . . . . :headbang:

+1 on the TV guide - only reason to buy the Mail on Saturday.

Sorry but I find him an irritating

Completely agree, though since his appearance on Newsnight a few weeks back I've started to think he's not quite the person portrayed by the media.

Having watched his Trews videos on Youtube, he's certainly quite passionate and knowledgeable (even if one were to disagree with him)

Seems like I'm on my own then - at a mature 66 I should also find him annoying and childish - I've read both of his earlier books that gave an insight in to his addictions - well written , witty and with a title like Bookywook denotes someone self deprecating and a sense of humour. Entertainer yes but articulate and well able to handle himself in debate. Arguably the infamous Sachsgate episode showed him to be insensitive and vulgar - but compared to many other so-called alternative comedians pretty low key - coupled with JR it just got a bit out of hand .Having said all this I wouldn't want him to pair up with my youngest daughter ( who absolutely loves him )

Nope, your not on your own - anyone that challenges the status quo and hold his own is ok in my book - how boring are our politicians and celebrities? I like a bit of colour and controversy at times and he certainly offers that.

:driving:
