Marks on soft top.

My soft top has marks on it were it obviously folds down. These are at the sides of the rear window. The car is 9 months old and is garaged all the time. I have never treated the hood and avoid getting it wet if possible. Any ideas or is it normal. thanks in advance.

I get marks on mine and couldn't figure where they were coming from and hell to get off. Finally realized they come from the rubber around the back of the top when the top is down. That black rubber is leaving skid marks on my top. Folks with the black top just don't notice them.

i dont have crease marks on mine. it looks more like shiny spots around the joints. possibly stretch marks????

When you wash the car do you not give the hood a good hose down get rid of the dust as this can cause marks.

Mine is treated with the AG kit so helps protect the top from the rain but i still have a few marks(not creases) as above shiney spots from the framework underneath and from use of the hood but nothing major.

Paddy do you mean marks like these if so not much we can do as far as i know. :(
part of owning a soft top i suppose.

yeah there the ones- does hood cleaner and treatment not hide them?

Fraid not mate

The hood kits are not coloured unless you use the dyes but be carefull with them as they can soak through the hood to the inside

Yep don't think there's anything you can do about them. After doing mine with the BMW kit, it did look a bit better for a short while, but it'll never look perfect.

get a coupe/hardtop
:P correct!

Seriously, this used to really bug me with mine, clean everywhere, wheels look sparkling, waxed and clayed bodywork, everything looks great, and then the roof spoils it with those creases

Maybe I should have kept mine in the garage :idunno:

This pic was mine after just using the BMW cleaner and impregnator on the roof, looks OK but not brilliant.
