Marks on seat from seat belt

Morning all,

Some nasty black marks have appeared on my otherwise spotless cream seats from the seat belts rubbing them so I'm after some advice on how to clean it and how to stop it happening again. Any suggestions?

Are these on plain cream leather seats, or the ones with Alcantara inserts as part of the pure white design pack?

For the former, most leather cleaners (certainly creams) should remove the marks. For the latter, you'll need Alcantara cleaner, though I've had great results removing the marks from mine (which I don't get too badly anyhow) with hand wash Woollite.

Yeah it has the inserts which was the bit I was worried about.

I'll start the hunt for the cleaners, thanks for the tip :)

I bought these seat belt pads off Roadster Solutions as I read about seat belt rubbing probs and theyre really good, made of leather and embroidered, the reverse that goes against the seat is soft and made of wool so stops any rubbing.

Cheers,

Tim.

If the previous owner had dirty hands then the belt might be excessively dirty, so it maybe worth cleaning the seat belt to get rid of the grime?
