Spotted this before...slightly tatty 2.0 on a 55 plate, only half leather 17in daisys, 97k...bidding at 5100 with a few hours to go...seems a bit steep...think its been bid up or is the market firming up again this year? seems daft to bid it and risk not selling it?

umm, the bidding looks pretty genuine up to £3100 with well established bidders, then two bidders with 0 and 2 respectively immediately boost it to over £5k which seems iff'y :spy:

May be wrong but my guess is it will re-list with some old guff about time-wasting bidders blah blah and not get near £5k.

......... and the MOT history is pretty shonkey and smacks of an owners leaving things doing the minimum required

forgot to look at the bid history...does look iffy now, they seem to sell plenty of motors with good feedback, other cars they have ending soon dont seem to have been bid up...strange they would pick out one car and chance losing a sale , stuck it my watch list so will get notified if its relisted

Seen this outfit before. Basically they buy at BCA and list on ebay 5 minutes later. Lots of the cars are photo'ed while still at BCA some still even have the BCA info plastered on the windscreen. Most end up getting re-listed so the bidding on mass is definitely suspect. Pre facelift 2.0 with 90k for £5k plus, well at that rate a pre facelift 3.0i must be M money!

Scuff damage to front and rear bumpers, ding in drivers door, only half leather and seats look marked? shonkey MOT history, are those 16" wheels? bought at auction probably with no prep beyond a cheap set of tyres.... and that service history

You are correct, the photos are not taken at the garage, looks like the BCA auction at Blackbushe.
I had a job close to to this garage and had a wonder in there, most cars are marked and dinged same as that sorry looking Z

They have been at it for years under different ebay names. They have obviously dropped a clanger on this one if they need to bid it up this much. You could land a 50-60k version for this money a 90-100k is fetching circa £3,000.

Id be amazed if that went through over £3k :?
A 2.0 on 16s heading for 100k with pre facelift lights + bumpers  might as well have cloth trim as well to finish the collection of reasons why no one will want it unless its silly cheap

Sorry I should have said those prices are for equivalent cars on trader now both private and traders. That car will of gone through BCA for circa £2,000, its CAP average value. Cant understand the bidding on it, crazy money to bid it up to. Unless its someone with axes to grind who is sabotaging their auctions. If they were bidding it up themselves I would have though £3-3,500 would have been more than enough

They buy all the we buy any car trade ins too from the look of most of the bca window stickers... A lot of them say UKCGR which is UK car group ie we buy any car... Avoid at all costs!
