What lowering springs & spacers would you recommend mr M ? 8)

Apparently the 3,2,s were higher as standard than the 1.8t,s due to the lower sump of the V6 unit 8) , ( no charge for the Audi trivia :P )
Lowering springs have been ordered as have wheel spacers front & rear :thumbsup:

Oh yeah , , its booked into the bodyshop 14th oct for some cosmetic enhancements then the dropping & widening will commence .
Got my eye on a set of the same alloys to have done in sparkle black then i have a choice :driving:

Haha , , nothing drastic , rear hatch has lacquer issues polishing can,t sort so its having a repaint ,
Rest of the paint was in dire need of attention & i,m at 7/8 hours i reckon & just starting to see the results :wink:
 
I must be a weird old fert, they were/are a design classic unless it's a shed and you are going all bum-draggy Marius style or giving it the full P38 filler Marmite treatment I'd keep it stock and spend my loot on getting it A1+ 8)

I do want to keep as standard as poss ,

Wheelspacers are a quick return to stock , , ,alloys will be same or similar so car will appear as it should to all onlookers , ,
The 1.8t,s of the same year were 25mm lower so dropping mine the same won,t be "slamming" it :wink:

It really is like new inside & mechanically only requires the Haldex oil & filter change so once the paintwork is done it will be a minter with only 2 prev owners & 80k covered


For comparison this V6 has been lowered & spacered without looking " messed with " :thumbsup:

I'm only ribbing really, it always amazes me how much time and effort people can put in naffing up their pride and joy, but it sounds like it's going to be a nice sorted car :thumbsup:
 
That v6 was lowered? :o

You can do better than that without going for the 'played with' look.

Incidentally, there is a set of mk4 platform KW V1's up for sale if you're interested?
 
The red V6 TT doesn't look lowered - in fact it looks like it rides higher than my old 225 coupe!
 
Clearly the ruse of this post is not drawing mr M out in fair play so its down to more underhand methods :oops:
