Sorry guys, please accept my apologies as I am going to have to give this run a miss due to unforeseen family circumstances which have just cropped up. I am totally gutted to say the least as I was really looking forward to attending the first run out of the year. I hope to see you at the Braemar run in April!
Hi Nick

Sorry to hear you can't make it, was looking forward to catching.
Hope all works out ok?
Take care and catch up soon

Thanks Stu, hope to catch up with you at some point soon mate

Hi Craig
Not sure what route you are taking exactly but I was over checking some roads for a Boxa. net run the other weekend and the winter has been harsh on some of the roads. North Keilder, Newcastleton and the A 723 out of Lockerbie were pretty rough (I burst a tyre on a pothole on the A723 on my daily driver just before Boreland)
I am sure you have it all sussed out but just thought I would let you guys know. Have a great run and miss those potholes! Angus

Hi Craig.
I should’ve been back in touch sooner but life’s just been a bit manic recently. I like to confirm for Sunday if ok, and I’ll book for the meal myself. Looking at the weather it seems to be pretty good for Sunday 🙏.

Hi Craig. If there’s room I wouldn’t mind tagging along if possible? It would be great to meet some fellow members and put faces to there posts. I’m fairly local, Roslin so meeting up will be fine.
So for your spec sheet Black Z4 roadster slightly modified/ commonly known as Steve😉. Possibly a passenger if brave enough! Thanks Steve
Hi Steve,

I'm not far from you I'm in Gorebridge would be great to meet up, possibly travel to meet up at start point? I have to warn my days of "spirited" driving are behind me I'm afraid. I'm using hand controls and trying to deal with a flippy floppy body
Cheers Stu
Hi Stu.
Sorry for not getting back sooner just been super busy. Would be great to meet up and head on down to Moffatt together. Thanks Steve.

On the subject of dodgy road surfaces, I was out with my son on Tuesday for a run out down the Innerleithen road over the B709, which is always a bit patchy in terms of road surface. Have to admit was not driving fast at all and there were some extremely broken up bits of road which, even dropping down to walking pace, were painful to weave through ! There didn't seem to be any kind of consistency either, good road for a mile turn a corner 20 yards of totally broken tarmac, then good road again!
Be careful :driving:

Hi Craig

Not attending on Sunday but travelled the A7 couple of weeks ago from Carlisle to Hawick, at times it was like a slalom course missing the potholes. Just some advice if you venture over that far. Have a good run our folks.

I drove the small road over the top from Langholm to Newcastleton last year - there were potholes the likes of which I’ve never seen before - some 100mm deep or more.
Mainly on the Langholm side but the confidence to travel briskly got dented !

Walking pace was fast enough - if you’re on the road be warned.

Just managed to book a b&b for sat night with parking :) and within walking distance of the local guinness watering holes, only a couple mind early start :driving:

Cheers for the warning, and hopefully we can avoid them, but something that has been happening to the roads for years, unfortunately.
They never seem to fix them properly,or quickly enough, tbh.

We did drive alot of these roads last April on our forum meet, and they weren't too bad then,so hopefully they will be okay this time round,a d we can enjoy the day :D :driving:

Hope everyone has a great time tomorrow :driving:
Unfortunately I'll be in Carlisle on a stag night that will have more zimmer frames than strippers
