Marangoni tyres

Marangoni is the make (Italian I'm led to believe), Mythos is their ultra high performance model tyre. I had this brand recommended by a rim & tyre shop in the Toronto (Canada) area but have never heard of them. Just wondering if anyone has heard of the brand or has any experience with these tyres? I'm looking at typical summer road use, I don't really drive the Z in the rain, and I do 2-3 track days per year. Wondering if these would suit my purposes. Any feedback from owners is appreciated, thanks in advance.

They are fairly common here in the UK... they are a budget tyre brand. I have heard that they are something to do with Pirelli, maybe. Perhaps they have several brands for different pricing brackets!?

The best bet however is to ask other tyre fitters what they think generally. That one specifically may just have had a great mark up on the Marangoni tyres! My brother worked as a tyre fitter for about a year and he learnt which were good/bad tyres for odd wear, life on the tyre, and customer feedback etc... so asking tyre fitters can often be a good plan :)

Thanks for the info Dave. These are a new brand to North America as I've only heard of them in one shop, so no tyre fitters to ask about them. Do you know of anyone who has used them for a track day or 2, or do they track people you know go for one of the better know brands? The difference in cost between these and Falken 452's is only $100 for the set of 4, from what you're telling me my gut says the extra $100 is worth it. I'd like to hear if anyone has used these on the track, after googling them it seems they sponsored a Mazda RX-8 race series spec'd with these tyres. $100 is $100, but it's not worth it if they not really up to track use.

I have no idea really, as the US Marangoni may well be targetted differently in UK/Europe, and so be a different spec, but in the UK they are generally accepted as a budget tyre.

Toyo seem to be a good cheap performance tyre... what are they like in comparison to the Falkens on price?
