Map Update 2022-4

I’m all up to date. All software updates done. Rumour is there is another bmw software update coming. Wonder if it’s true?

When I contacted the guys at the bmw connected drive team re the problems I was having with the current software upgrade, they told me there was but it’s not ready for remote download yet but is available at the dealers
 
Well battery fully charged, upgrade downloaded onto the App and then onto the car but still only receiving a message that I will be informed when it's ready to install.

BMW say it could take a day or two but still waiting.

Aye, me to...the ready to install message has been displayed for several days now.
 
Sorry for you but also good to know I am not the only one.

Next time I am near a dealership going to go in and get them to fix it. Something must be wrong as I had the same problems when trying to download the map updates

If ready to install is showing you just need to click begin install.
 
The connected drive team have given up trying to install my updates and I have to make an appointment with the local dealership to get them to sort it.

I will once the snow melts and I can get off the estate.
 
Phoned the local Vertu dealership a few miles up the road at Boldon and explained the issue. Told them the Connected drive team said it would only take a dealership a few minutes as they have the upgrades on a memory stick.

The response was, you will have to leave the car with them all day, no offer of a replacement or a lift home or even to the nearest Metro station about a mile away. Just to supply the best customer service they could, they said they could book me in on 14 January 2023.

Rang Lloyds in Newcastle the response was totally different. Just drop in next time your passing and a technician will sort it for you while you have a coffee. We will see if that happens this week, but it's obvious where my business is going in the future.
