Many thanks jabber-

He is just psyching himself up for the major project, taking all of 30 seconds to do

Make sure you take photos and do a how-to for those who haven't changed the grills yet ;)

I think that new look of a couple of grills with a few spokes missing, could be quite trendy

Harsh but very funny

No idea where you are based but I do London to derby frequently I could give you a hand to remove yours if your still struggling.... Takes like 30 secs a side!

Is this going to be one of those 50 page thread about the build up to the grill change?

You could always tie a piece of rope round one of them and attached the other end to a fixed object, then stick the car in reverse and floor it.

That would get them out with no trouble Andy.

Andy, it really is VERY simple. Put your fingers in between the slats, and lift up. The grilles will then come out. Do the reverse to put them back in.

Honestly, even I'm able to do it.

some times the rough and ready ways are the best

I may have to go down the srhutch route-theres no movement up and down(or very little)-ive even sprayed wd40 around the chrome ring  -its like the old insurance advert-im making a drama into a crisis!

Nice hammer
Have you tried talking to them nicely i think it may help
Eg "Please Mr grill will you come out now for me" , failing that get ya partner to do it iam sure she changes the light bulbs to

Andy just get hold of the slats at the bottom and give them a sharp tug puking doughty upwards, they will come off.

I need to remove mine to wrap them as I left my black ones on the car when I sold it. Just one of many jobs to do.
