Nope don't like it one bit.

Just looks like someone has taken the E89 and asked, how do we make this more ugly? What ever they decided it worked.

Good news. However the question remains - will Toyota release the B58 manual variant to the UK market?

Fantastic news!

I really hope that the manual version gets offered in the UK for sure. :driving:

I'm gutted that the Nissan 400Z isn't coming to the UK, so this could be the tonic that I'm after for definite. I really like this Supra, and the only thing that I didn't like about it was the auto gearbox.

More importantly, will BMW therefore make a G29 Z4M?

That’s the only question that matters

What a bonus that would be, more power and it would also unlock the access to the individual colour choice as when I asked about that for my G29 I was told that was only available for ///M cars

This would be something ..... BUT If it was to happen.... Can you imagine the price ?? 👀👀👀👀 But my lord what a combo that would be .

I saw a nice metallic blue Supra at a local car meet this morning and really liked it - they even kept the "double-bubble" roof!

Personally I prefer them to the E89 and G29. :exitright:

But a manual Supra with an M engine could actually make me want a Toyota.

If bmw did put the m4 engine in the z4 can you imagine the price. I reckon 65-70k which would make it one seriously expensive zed.
Would be amazing with that horsepower, but would it require 4 wheel drive?

Ugly looking thing. But take the engine transmission package and get it into a G29, with a new front end, as soon as possible and I might have to dip into mrsG's holiday fund.

I know but given the timeline it might be an excellent excuse as it’ll be in the run of the last new Zeds available. If I got one I might even keep it for a while

As you know I can’t fit in a 718 and even if I could it’d still be £15-£20k cheaper than my spec’d one of them

Ah the Porsche options list…..got to love it. In other countries they offer packs, but not in. U.K.
Apparently Porsche HQ refer to us as treasure island for this exact reason.

Think they missed a huge opportunity by not making it a hybrid along the lines of the i8. Petrol engine driving the rears and electric on the front making it 4 wheel drive. Imagine the performance then

if they do a new z4m.... ill buy one. zero question.
I don’t see BMW making a new Z4M.

However assuming they did, it would in essence be a short wheel based M2 with an S58 engine and a convertible roof.

But would it really be better than an E85/86? I just don’t see it I’m afraid.

I think they missed a trick by offering a full electric z4. 2 seater electric convertible would be quite unique.

Not sure the tech is quite ready though and it would probably have cost 90k.

Wouldn't touch a fully electric car. My neighbour has a new Jaguar ipace and it developed a battery fault and the whole thing just shut down in the middle of the road. Had to get Jaguar to come out and recover it as they couldn't fix it insitu. Luckily it was an estate road and not a motorway.

Plus as already spoken about on here, the Govt are already drafting legislation to limit home charging to nightime only to conserve electricity.

At what price point would a new Z4M become unattractive....if it was close to £70k (which given the M4 price it would likely be) would people really buy one over a Boxster/Cayman GTS, GT4 or Spyder?

Having been in a CSL, M5 and Z4MC, and loving the M cars for their good and bad points, I have to say in almost every department it's miles off the Porsche product. Trying not to sound too much like a fan boy, but I think the gap is as big between them as an M car is to a regular Golf or equivalent.

What makes you say this? Or should I say what does Porsche offer that BMW M doesn’t? (Taking away GT3 and GT3RS territory as there is a clear difference in that department).
