manual seats--> electric??

Hi All

I am trying to sell my electric leather seats on ebay. I have been asked if manual seats can be upraded to electric? Is the wiring already there even if your seats are manual?

Hi,

Dont quote me on this but I'm sure I have read on here that all cars have the wiring for electric seats, its just a case of finding it.

Might be worth having a look through some of the old threads, alternatively Im sure if you give it a while someone will be able to give you a definite answer.
 
I am selling the black leather seats ending in around 24 hours and have been asked the question by a prospective buyer. I have a feeling all cars will have the electrics already but it would be good if I could confirm it either way.

I don't think so. Typically electric seats weigh more than manual seats, and that is because of the motors in the electric seats. I don't think they put those in all the seats
 
I think he's asking if the wiring is already in place in the car. My 325Ci said it was prewired for things like alarm, garage door opener and CD changer. I don't know about the Z but it makes sense to have one wiring harness that you can snap parts into on the kind of assembly line BMW runs.
