Manual Gearbox Whine

My Z4 E89 has done 75K.
When I pull away I get a slight whine in first gear until the car reaches about ten mph.
I change to second and I get the same whine but the tone 'wobbles' for the first few moments of accelaration.
I also get the same whine but a lot quieter in 3rd.

It also appears to get slightly worse on a left hand turn and also when the car is cold.

Just had a long life service and MOT.

Anyone come across this or got any ideas?

So in first I get "weeeeeeeee"
In second I get "weewooweewooo

I had my gearbox oil changed a couple of weeks ago (manual E86 on 82K) and the change definitely fells better.

Hope all your crossed body parts does the job. (Maybe touch some wood too)!

Edited - "crossed body parts". Trying to type too quick!

Anyway it sounds like it has helped.

A lot better than before. Surprised how clean the oil was in the box.
Managed to get it done without touching any wood though 😂
