manual gearbox oil change

Hi, I'm thinking of changing the oil in my manual gearbox and diff (04 3.0 se). Has anyone any idea as to capacities and or recommendations of the type/grade required? Thank you. Dell.

mines the si, but this is what i got

Gearbox oil - 2l (LT3 oil) - what i use FUCHS TITAN SINTOFLUID SAE 75W-80 SYNTHETIC MANUAL TRANSMISSION FLUID
Diff oil - 1l (SAF-XO) - what i use RED LINE SYNTHETIC MANUAL TRANSMISSION LUBRICANT MTL 75W-80 GL4

also check the diff for a drain plug, as its sealed for life, some dont have one so you need to suck/siphon out

Always remove the filler plug first

I don't suppose there is a guide for this job as mine is coming up to 50k so I would like to do my diff and gear box oil. Is this job possible on the drive with a trolley jack ?

May I suggest that you use the search function on this forum?

This topic has been discussed so many times and there are many hints and tips in the previous discussions. I know because I had my car's gearbox and diff oil changed two weeks ago - I didn't do it myself, just slipped the local fast fit guys a £10.00.

I have done the gearbox - relatively easy job if you can get the car off the ground. Fill/drain plugs are obvious and about £6 the pair to replace, so buy new ones. Get an oil syringe too.
