Malfuction in the driving stability control systems!

Hoping the good folks can give me a pointer on this one.

Was out for a drive this evening as the cars been laid up for 2 weeks, having last been used the day it passed the MOT. My brother was at the wheel for the first time and trying the cruise control on the motorway as I mentioned i'd never used it in the year I've had the car!

All was fine for a couple of minutes and then these 3 warning lights came on as we're cruising at 75mph. I got him to pull over at the next junction and then being able to have a good look in the owners book, it seems I have the problem in the title!

I am not mechanically minded beyond very basic stuff but I have a horrible feeling this is not good! Its the yellow abs light and red brake system light next to it, plus yellow "telltale light in rev counter area. (Don't think photo attached!)

Sorry to ask and not spend some time searching through but, things have been traumatic in the family recently ( one reason car was laid up for 2 weeks) and just a bit disheartened with things at the moment!

What do you advise? Whats invovlved? Can the local garage sort this or there is "German car specialist centre" ( on a Nissan site) around 10 miles away, who did a fluid change for me a couple months back. Main dealer I expect is a no-no because of potential cost?
Proper BMW specialist 30-40 miles away.

Again, sorry to waffle on and not search for the right thing, particularly as my head is not in a good place at moment!

Thank you, folks.

Ahh- have just seen that It might be a case of getting the local garage to take the ABS pump off and I send it to ECU testing?
Will I need to leave the car at garage whilst being fixed or would I be able to drive home and keep in garage until part returned, just in case they cant store my car for a few days??

I've had a very similar set of lights on my dash but no ABS light. Maybe you need the clean up your ABS sensors behind the wheels. Plenty videos on you tube and links on here. 20170422_153416.png

I bought a cheap diagnostics tool. Cleared the faults and drove the car all weekend. No faults after 800 miles driving. My car stand in garage Monday to Friday and goes out at weekends but feedback I got was that car needs to be used regular, laying it up is not in cars interests or your wallets.

Good luck sorting it.

If the pump is removed the car's not going anywhere (under its own steam) until it is reconnected.
I recommend you get the codes read first - it looks like the ABS pump or control unit (if the codes are 5DF0 5DF1) but may just be a sensor which is 'easily' replaced without needing to touch the ABS pump (although I thought that lit up the tyre pressure light instead of one of the above three that you have? A search in this forum should find plenty of results, it seems to be a fairly common problem with the ABS pump, control unit, or sensors).
Good luck, hope you get it sorted easily.

UPDATE.

I got the codes read today and it is indeed the infamous DSC/ABS pump , with the infamous 5DF0 & 5DF1 fault codes!

The mechanic is going to remove it on Friday and I will have to get it sent off to ECU testing for a refurb.

The garage I use is not BMW specialist or anything but I am sure he has all of the professional diagnostic kit, so I presume it's not too much of a laboured job/refit for a good local mechanic??

If he fits the very same unit as there was in your car then there will be no problem. The vin is stored inside the unit so an replacement unit must be coded specific to your car. Again, this procedure is not needed wen you get your own unit back

Does ECU testing fix the pumps as well? Or just the ECU? In my case it was the pump (stuck brushes - common fault with these pump motors) and not the control unit.
