Major boot issue

I’ve got a bit of a boot problem this morning.
The soft close mechanism cannot close the boot completely, it keeps trying over and over again. I can’t open the boot and a cannot stop it the mechanism.
I’ve dropped it at the garage but haven’t heard anything yet.
I think I may have shut the boot on to a bag strap or something.
Has anyone had a similar problem?

Stupid question, but did you try pressing the button to open the boot? Also, did you try pressing down on the boot while closing? Lastly possibly using ProTool to override and open boot or pin 7 trick.

Yes I tried all the buttons and tried pushing it down too.
Haven’t heard back from the garage yet so I’ll give them a call in a bit.
Hopefully the motors haven’t burnt out

The latch mechanism has failed apparently.
£350 for a new one.

Might have just been a broken wire on the latching sensor. Simple solder fix.

Will soon find out when the replacement latch doesn’t fix it

The new latch sorted the problem and the start/stop has now started working too.
£560 all in though!
