Hi guys,
I want to do a preventive maintenance on my zed 3.0i 05 left-hand drive,
My car has 115000 km almost, i use that as daily drive (15k-18k km year). this are the work that i want to do
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Oil and all filter change

I have found this kit:
https://www.auto-doc.it/gk/12867300
it's consist on the water pump, belt, belt tensioner etc. (no thermostat)
I read on this forum and other that it's suggestible to do also the belt, belt tensioner and all the stuff around that, it's right?
I would like to recive some advise on what to buy.
Thanks

Hi, Replacing water pump and thermostat is a sensible idea. You'll need to release an engine mount jack up one side of the engine to get enough clearance to remove the pump (it clashes with the front support frame).

Also check the tensioner supplied in the kit, part no. 11287838797 'Complete hydraulic belt tensioner' to make sure it's the same as the part fitted to your car. It's referenced by suppliers against two different types. My 3.0i has the type as per the first item, left of image. Best to check which one you have as they require different bolt lengths.

Also if still on the original DISA valve, it may be worth replacing the assembly, or fitting the rebuild kit. My DISA valve was falling apart at 140K

Gearbox oil and Rear differential oil change is also a good shout.

Did mine some years ago, but IIRC the spring-type mechanic tensioner was superseded by the hydraulic version, which pulls more steadily and is less prone to noise problems. INA does the oem ones and also has a retrofit kit available — which was a simple bolt on.

Found the notes in my archives, INA retrofit kit has the same part number, 11287838797.

Thank guys for the information, i already have done the gearbox oil since i have an automatic transmission 5hp, every 60k km i do the maintenance,
The belt tensioner code for my car is the same as you reported (checked on realoem) you say that INA does the kit with the right part, it's this the kit that we are talking about? https://www.auto-doc.it/ina/7884969

The INA kit as already the water pump in metal and not in plastic as the original?

Not familiar with that bundle and struggling with the language. Checked my notes, 11287838797 on the INA kit is just a cross reference to the OEM part number — INA’s own number for is 533009710, https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ina/2386289. Some earlier posts here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124267

Okey, for summary, this are the parts, i used autodoc.co.uk maybe it will easier for you to help.
V- ribbed belt kit: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ina/17019403 (belt, belt tensioner etc.)
Thermostat: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/continental/18519133
Water pump: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/meyle/2120965
It's all i need?

I also read on the post you mentioned that there is a conversion to change in hydraulic version, the INA kit has already that part code you mentioned (533009710), there will be some mods that need to be done or the mounting is OEM?
