Main Dealer visit.

Called off at my main dealer on Saturday to pick up my strut covers and thought I'd get a 1lt oil while I was there.

Parts guy comes out with a 0W-30 bottle and plonks it down.

Me: are you sure that's the correct oil for my car?

Parts guy: yes only the M3 and M5 have different spec oil

Me: but my Z4 has the same engine as the M3.

Parts guy: are you sure? (puzzled look)

Me: why don't you check it against the VIN

Parts guy: oh yes, you are correct. Goes away and gets the correct spec oil.

To make matters worse my wing mirror glass fell out in the car park. They wanted £100 for a replacement.

Just as well you were tuned in on the oil spec Dan but the mirror is a Z novice error mate , you should have pre empted that make sure you check the other side as they usually go in pairs

The other side is very loose so I'll re-glue it when the replacement arrives.

Had it on my first Z4 but managed to spot it before it dropped.

Completely slipped my mind to check on the new one
