Magic tree

I'm fussy about where the air freshener goes, it's not allowed on the dash or on the rear view mirror.

I usually have it on the hoops between the roll bars, but where the roofs down, it's not very secure, so now I'm at a loss for where to put it, any ideas?

Hmmmmm, no need for one as of yet. The Autoglym leather balm I used made my interior smell like leather which I like a lot.

:) Use leather care creams from the local horsey shop, the waxes smell great.

Be careful, I hung one off of my indicator stalk, it stripped the paint off of my steering column cowl where it touched, I had to take it off and respray it !

same here. dont do it!!

I put the roof down at the slightest opportunity and don't have much flatulence so don't need an air freshener :P

Don't keep wasting your money on them, buy an aromatherapy oil, plenty to choose from. Few drops on each mat where the heater duct blows onto it, will smell it for weeks. Little 9ml bottle about a tenner will last you a year+ versus magic trees what ever they cost now 3 or 4 quid and lucky if they last a month.
Been using Patchouli, brings back to my youth and the 80's :driving: Few drops, heat hits it and no bloody rustling bag blowing about when you open a window or drop the top.

Just noticed today that the cherry jelly belly that was hanging off my indicator stalk has damaged the steering wheel cowl.
What did you use to respray and were the results any good?

I always buy the California Scents tins off of Ebay and just throw them under the passenger seat. Best smelling/lasting air fresheners I've used.

They don't freshen anything ... just contaminate the air you breathe with micro-particles that very likely damage your internal organs.

This is a good idea actually...

And might I say, an extremely well Anglicised post from one of our US members  :D

 always a pleasure to read an inspiring post :)

I rarely use air freshener. Roof down does it for me :)

If I need to freshen up, I use a spray, and spray the roof lining material and carpets. At least with a spray you can tone down the smell until its subtle, and choose your fragrance first

dont use them, as i had one that found its way under the mat and discoloured the carpet

Personally I hate the mirror dangling, flappy in the wind air fresheners; my car had a huge dolphin hanging in it when I bought it. Currently residing in a bush somewhere down the A13 as it was the first thing outted...
I've got one of those black glade car fresheners with a bottle sitting on the centre vent. Small and smells great so it's a win win.
