I've had 4 beemers and one bimmer. I can't stop calling the zed a beemer though. My brother who has a 330i but never says bimmer or beemer told me about a t-shirt he saw. It said "I didn't know BMW made cars until I passed one"

I had a quick look for it on Friday, I remembered early Dec but not the exact release date - so Wednesday it is, looking forward to it

I actually got a copy of the magazine on Saturday, in advance.
It's not a bad read, and the car looks great. However, there's a few inaccuracies and mistakes here and there. There's a fair bit of artistic licence used throughout, but it doesn't detract too much. They have managed to make a 4-day weekend trip sound like it was all done in a day though! Also, it wasn't my first trip to the 'Ring that year, and the trips the year before were in my old VX220, not the Z4M, as they have quoted. I only got the Z in March! lol.
Ahh well! There's a few quotes in there (well, most) that are worded a little differently to how I gave them too, but tbh.. it's Max Power - I wasn't expecting too much! Also, they missed off half the tech-spec i sent them (apparently the designers fault, as they probably cut it out to fit it in the box at the end!), so it reads that the only mods on the interior are the iPod adapter, and no mention of harnesses and bucket seats (even though they're visable in the pictures and mention in the main article!). Little things... doh!
What I am looking forward to though are the rest of the shots. Should have a DVD of all the photos that were taken over the weekend coming in the next day or so though, and will post a few up. The pics in the mag do look fantastic, but there's even more where they came from!

Whats a K100RS ///M model? I have a 1991 K100RS but never heard of a ///M model? I had the K75s, K1200RS, and K1200LT too, and a BMW 100,000 Mile Award for riding beemers....
Pic looks awesome mate, like you say MP are not exactly renowned for their journalistic skills but no doubt the rest of the pics are worthy of the ///M. Didn't Zippy Butler Henderson write for them at one point, or even be editor or something?

It was the K100RS Motorsports model. Had red and blue pin striping. I don't know if I have a pic of mine, but here's one:

Have you guys seen the new "sport-boxer"? I saw it at the cycle world international motorcycle show in long beach this past weekend. What a beautiful bike!!! Supposed to be about $25,000...better start saving up...
They are going to race it in the Daytona 200 and the Formula Extreme class in the AMA this year. They raced one at Le Mans but it looks a little different...I can't find a picture anywhere on the net of the one I saw...

i'm too old and fat for real sport bikes now, my wrists are completely shot. I'd be happy with a sport tourer. My K75s was about the smoothest, best handling bike that I ever had. I really miss that bike, got rid of it because the newer K100s (88/89s) were supposed to be better than the old ones. They weren't. The 16 valve bikes were way better, but my son was about to be born, so I couldn't buy yet another $12k bike.
