Made myself a replacement fuel filler tether...

As with all old fuel cap tethers they tend to fracture and break at 15+ years old so, being mean and bored, I drew up a replacement and printed it out of flexible TPU on my 3D printer:

Good effort! I actually tend to remove the cord from mine to avoid the cap swinging down and hitting the paint work. I would rather it fell on the floor and I cleaned it afterwards.

They're also available on eBay rather cheaply:

You know they go in the little green hole when filling?

Nice unique tether you made there...hope you don't mind, just one small observation...your fuel filler and cap have not been visited by a detailing brush and APC in a while :wink:

Y'know, I looked at the photo when I was uploading that and it only then occurred to me that I never clean in there!

Cheers all. I even went and filled up last night and it didn't snap, ping off or get caught under the cap!

Tho I still haven't cleaned under there!!

Yes, I always put mine there.
