Mad dogs

I watched this last night and was going to ask the same question. I rewatched the end few mins several times in case I missed something but I'm not sure I did. What a bizarre ending to what was a good few series. Right up to the end, you could see them being overtaken by other cars - what happened to them???

Think the programme (and viewers) deserved better!
 
Not going to spoil it for those that have it saved to watch but truely awful, repetitive and terribly written.

To say I was bemused and befuddled is an understatement.
 
Well, if you've not watched it, ignore this post, to the others my conclusion was put a bullet in the back of someone's head, raises lots of questions, organise the opening of a bit of incomplete freeway bridge... no real questions asked

Think back to where they got stuck in traffic earlier in the episode
 
I think they were shot and buried on the beach but after that i'm totally confused
