Was a great trip out Andy great roads apart from that bit from Lechlade to Faringdon. And nice and quite too  Turns out it was a good job i went home on time and didn't stop for a pint. Mrs Monkey had made plans it was a friends birthday. So i did end up getting a few pints sat by a river :D

Sorry Zeld Completely forgot but in my defense it was a quickly put together thing. If your free any nice night next week apart from Thursday let me know. It was a really nice route.
Off to China on Monday for twelve days so will probably go for a blast this Sunday. Let me know if you fancy it!

It was great to at last meet Z4-forum legend Machine monkey today. We went for a bit of a spin, it was busy but we managed to stretch our legs a few times and we only had one tyre smoking, brake melting moment!! But I won't mention that  Thanks Mat, fab route!!

Mate,

Saw this and instantly thought of you...

Watch the whole thing! Will blow your mind!!!

So it seems I'll have to roll the arches after all... How did you do yours? I read about the phonebook method and the round pipe method...

Welcome Zeld4 it is a good route a bit busy but fun anyway

As for the tyre / Brake smoking moment................................ That was me looking past an object then realizing the object ( Renault something ) Was turning right. Wasn't that close but made the adrenaline pump a bit. And my brake pads smoke when your back let me know

Ha ha that's great Luke I recon i could 4 maybe 6 leaf blowers on a zed bonnet!! I am going of the idea of supercharger. I think i am going to save for something quicker out the box.

Bad i got the guy who is working on project marmite to do mine when i dropped of Brads spacers. Its fairly easy to do just bend the lip round a little at a time but you will probably crack the paint. Might be best to see if there is a body shop near you who can do it?

You asked what size and offset my wheels where they are 8" x 19" et47 front 91/2" x 19" et27 rear

I have a heat gun, which should render the paint a little more flexible. I think I'll give it a go. If it doesn't seem to work out, I can still go to a body shop. But I prefer doing as much as I can myself, that's why I have the Zed :-D

I would jack up the car wheel off. Then get a big heavy pice of plastic maybe even tape / Glue a soft material to one side. Then get a plastic caped mallet. Put the plastic block on the outside of the wing in front of where you will be tapping. Start at one end and slowly tap the edge round a few mm then carry on all the way round the arch. And repeat that prose in till happy. Well done for giving it ago

You will probably have to get busy with the heat gun on the plastic liner as well.

Heat gun on the actual arch worked a treat on mine and stopped the paint from cracking whilst bending them

What you thinking now mate? V8? V10?!

Dont know i doubt i will do much more with the zed. M5 V10 would be nice under the bonnet!!

But for the cash it would cost i could probably have an V8 AM on the drive way????

Right been busy today sweating mostly..... Lovely day should have been driving not messing!!

Had the front bumper off again!!! It's been off so many times I had stopped fitting it properly all the screws and that. Any way took it off last night started sanding and filling. I finished it off this afternoon after many many rattle cans of primer paint and clear coat. I got a ok finish

I have painted the sender section of the lower bar black. Like the ///M boys. And I have the rear aero bumper fitted properly took a few tinny self tapping screws.

Pictures................. Your gonna have to wait :)

Got a car cleaning day planed with the father in law. And he is much better with a camera.

No, no, no, no, no.

You must clean the car so I can photo it when I come see you tomorrow, or had you forgot?

Also, my friend and I do detailing quite a lot now, we'd be happy to give yours a once over with the polisher? It'll bring the rattle can paint up a lot better in our experience? Gives it a far better shine.

Also, PM your phone number please dude!

I really can't wait to see yours tomorrow (if you've not forgotten), I really love how it looks in the (abysmal  )pics.
