Machine monkeys zed

Such interesting stuff, is there a reason for the different diameter tailpipes or are my eyes deceiving me?

Nope your eyes are fine. No reason i just fancied it. I saw it on another Zed and i thought if i make a quad that's what i will have.

i'm trying to convince my self that i don't need the quad exhaust :poke: will call for a quote to my local garage

Matt,

This is what I mean, on the pipe from the muffler to the right hand end tips, the professional sets all seem to have a small extra silencer. I don't have this and I noted that the bass sounds (at low rpm) are louder than the high sounds (at high rpm) and I am assuming that this is due to the missing silencer. It makes sense when you think of it. I hope I am making sense tho :P

I think I get you buddy but I don't think that's a silencer. That is a flexible joint similar to what I have put in mine. Have you got any bypass pipes on your system? As they might help??

No bypass on my system. And yes, it is a flexible piece of pipe but it also works as a silencer apparantly. Anyway, It works very well without it too.
I don't have an extra heat shield either.

So hear are some pics its not quite fitted and finaly aligned i ran out of time B4 work :(

Silly monkey welded the bracket on the wrong side. Well its difficult when your upside down round the wrong way when your figuring these things out!! And that's Research and development for you!!

The correct way is the one with the bolt

Looking good MM, the offside one though, the gap between them looks a little big but I think you said you were going to sort that? I like how they're not all the same size, looks more individual than replicating the M quad. Overall really improves that already nice arse! Great handywork :)

Thanks woody i think the credit for the different size pipes need to go to Aquaiz. I am sure i saw it on his car. I didn't want it to look like an //M it not being one after all. I would look silly at the lights if it looked like one. Well until or if i fit a super charger????? I think it looks ace already it needs aligning and all tightening up its kind of hanging on the bracket at the moment!!

Loving that... hats down to your ability to do this
