A one off lesson or are you going for a license? I should be able to get across tomorrow sometime.

Hi Stu its a one off my wife works at Kiddlington airport and managed to get it for me.

I think I will have to leave it to day I am mega busy :(

Ok buddy, enjoy and if some time frees up let me know. It's about an hour from home to yours so just give me a little advanced notice. Otherwise if I'm working in our Swindon office it's a short run up to you.

Ok guys gals i need some expert help. Hopefully the flowing information will help someone help me fix my car.

Stuart the legend and very nice helpful chap Truman ( i believe this should be his new forum name ) Popped over last night with his diagnostic equipment. We got the same p1633 code as i had previously. But he ran a more advanced system and got this message on the picture below. Anyone got a clue???????????????

Matt. Did a bit of digging. This might be a starting point

Edit - Might also be worth doing the throttle reset process. Only a few seconds and it might reset the values

It would appear the can bus is not communicating with your instrument binnacle. I don't know if you have had a cable chaffing in the steering cowl but I would check around that area for a cable that may be rubbing on the column. Or around the pedal box area.

Not sure but have had plenty of experience with can busses.

Thanks Nelly that is what I was thinking. I had a mouse eat through some of the can bus!!! Either he is back! Or the repair is playing up??

How was the repair made ?

Twisted pair and soldered is really the only way.

No idea I have no clue when it comes to electrics!! It went to a local company called Oxford vehicle electrics. Hope they would have done it right???

If you know where the repair is, it should be easy to check. I'd suggest calling the, back as if its their repair they'll sort it and if the mouse is back they've already proven they can fix it.

I have spoke to the guys where i got the wiring fixed and they recon its the throttle body its self from codes?????????????

Guess i will have to get a new one and try.

Fix it MM - you've spent way too much time on it to give up. what crap luck you're having though. Wish i could lend a hand being not that far away but I don't have a clue.

Thanks guys i have had some rotten luck recently.n What with the accident at work my car playing up. And to top it off i had a very dodgy mole removed from my ear on Tuesday. Hopping that's nothing more sinister.... I had a lump of skin the size of a 5p removed from the back of my ear. Honestly 10x more painful than my cut shins!! What dose not kill you only makes you stronger as they say.
