Machine Monkey's Shiny Knob :O

Just a few photos of one of his knobs.
everything needed to fit it comes with the knob ( an allen key :wink: )
I weighed it when it arrived and it weighs 375g( zhp weighs 500g)
Feels very nice to hold when changing gears, definitely better then the standard knob.
the final photo is just what I had for lunch... I ate both plates :roll: (total cost of meal :£7)

he is indeed, I think the gear knob fits in quite well with the aluminum trim

I also had visions of me asking him to make stainless steel trimming and steering wheel trim :roll:

Now THAT would be a test.

I wonder if he could do me a turned aluminium insert for my auto shifter to match my 'cirrus aluminium' dash. Hmmm...

my housemate's dad owns oven engineering company, he cooked it at the unit

Bing all you have to do is ask. I can do that could you pop the insert out? If so send it and I will make a copy. Or a rough idea of size I will have a go.

Cheers MM. I will have a poke around at the weekend and see if it comes apart. Might take a bit more than popping it out, more like gear know removal. However I'll get back to you on that :thumbsup:
 
They're not cheap unfortunately - about £60 :cry:

If I can separate mine without breaking it then you can use it as a template. The only problem may be clips and fittings if they rely on plastic flexibility. Let's stop hijacking the thread and I will PM you if/when I get round to it...
