Machine monkey gear knobs

The blanks are all made i just need to pay the guy and pick them up! And then do all the rest of the work. A few weeks yet i am afraid!!
 
Any chance of a plain rounded brushed stainless knob just give us the details and I will sort you out through PayPal would it be possible to etch your logo on the shaft cheers
 
The blanks are all made. They are waiting for me to pick them up and do what i need to to them. I haven't had time or the cash to pay the guy.

It sounds like he has made them in a way a plain ball will be impossible but i will confirm once i have seen them.
 
There will be loads i have 15 aluminum and 15 stainless ones waiting. I will get them done as soon as time and funds allow.
 
MM - do you want the money up front from people so you can go ahead and order the materials?

I would rather not have the pressure of delivery dates and having people cash to be honest!! I am busy at work at home and Mrs Monkey is starting to give me a hard time about the time spent on car stuff. I dont blame her its been every spare moment for the last 6 weeks!!!

I've sent you a couple of PM's on this but I can't see them in my sent items so not sure if you've had them or not. If you have then apologies for posting again.

Just wondered if you had any news on these as I'm off for my European road trip (inc a track day at Spa) on the 3rd September and so really need a weighted gear knob for then. Any Chance they'll be ready?

But I hope to pick the blanks for the gear knobs up Saturday. Then give me a few weeks turn around ( I need to figure out and master using a lathe as a milling machine) then I can hopefully take cash of all you lovely people and deliver you a wonderful new knob!!

No worries Monkey. I can see from other threads you're busy helping other as well as yours mate. Just wanted an update due to the road trip otherwise I wouldn't have hassled you.

So I can't get the other type gear knob done any time soon. I need the milling machine I can't get a quality finish from the lathe :headbang: sorry guys I will get them done some time. But I can make the type of gear knob above any diameter material or length you would like. These I can do on my lathe.

Do you know what mate, i actually prefer that shape.

Can you do the gear sequence on the top? If not now, at a later date?

What's the weight like?

Id like it as short as possible to keep the throw length down. As for the diameter, i have no idea so lets just go for the size as the other round ones you do! If you think that'll work of course.

I can indeed get that done either laser etched or engraved.

Light on this one it aluminium. I can try making a stainless one but my lathe struggles a bit with it.

Even if its aluminium its got to weigh more than my standard one.

Not fussy on the laser etched or engraved. again whatever's easiest.
