M8 satnav app

Do you have to pay for M8? Its free to use on my idiotphone.

Lately , yes........its only pennys but it always asks for payment when I want a route and it accepts paypal not a cc or dc and as I stated earlier by the time the payment is recognised I'm at my destination or nearly .
and the payment is only for a month........an annual subscription would be better and more useful

Updated app and on IOS8, so latest everything.

Just taken a look at Waze - looks good. I'm going to try it.

If you run it with the phone connected to a power source does it override or change the handset config so that the display stays lit permanently?

Well, early indications are good. Installed on my Galaxy Note 2. Just done a 30 mile Waze-assisted route, tried to catch it out, was good. Only slight concern at the moment is it's a bit sluggish in a complex series of turns, ie doesn't quite keep up with reality.

I can now answer that - yes it does. Also incoming phone calls switch the display away, but you can return to it manually, or after the call has finished the Waze display comes back.

I don't know what happened but we dissociated ourselves with the developers doing M8. I've gone back to Waze and the in car.
