M54B30 oil Liqui Moly Molygen is it worth it?

Hello everyone!
Not so long I bought a BMW Z4 2003 M54B30 with ~100000 kilometers and now I wondered about the choice of oil.
The previous owner used Liqui Moly Molygen New Generation 5w-30 for the last 3 years.

Before winter parking, I changed the oil again to the same one, but the new season is starting soon and I want to approach this issue more responsibly.
I change oil every 5000 kilometers.
What do you think, is the oil suitable for the engine M54B30 and are there any objective disadvantages in using this oil on my car?

P.S. I know there are similar threads recommending oils, but in this case, I want to talk about a specific oil.

It meets BMW 'LL04' specification so it's ok.
My own M54B30 drinks Castrol Edge 5w40M after changing from 5W30. This is often suggested as a contingent move in order to preserve high-mileage (100K+miles) motors.

Good idea to do intermediate oil changes and another good idea is to invest in an oil pump such as the 'Pela' pump.
Handier to use than going underneath the car and draining the sump and personally I feel it extracts a bit more oil than draining the sump.

One of my neighbours was on about these pumps but I wondered if they get rid of any little particles that lurk in the bottom of the sump. Also do you still need to remove the sump plug to clean it off.

Any small metallic particles should be firmly attached to the magnet inside the sump.
Put it this way, I've done about 6/7 changes using the pump and I always seem to suck out 7 litres when 6.5L is the recommended amount. I always keep the oil topped off and showing at max point on the dipstick.

I haven’t changed the oil on any of our cars for around 35 years due to lack of time and will. But now I have a z4 I would like to do my own services and this would make it much easier and cleaner. Does anyone else use these devices?

I used an electric oil pump for the first time last summer, just a cheap version off Amazon ….very impressed, warmed up the engine first it’s powered off the battery , so fast and easy. Doing the Zed this week.

Dipstick , so no good without one :(
Thanks. I find it quite satisfying draining the used oil out of the sump plug, and have an old washing up bowl for the purpose.

I always drain through the sump plug. Stick it up on the lift and just let it drain for an hour. Then I pour some new oil in and let than run through and it swills out the remaining old from the sump, once it runs clean through I replace the sump plug and refill. Might seem a bit anal but it keeps me happy :P
