The funny thing is that this is not a cutaway of a m54 how it sits in the z4. (it has the crankdriven viscous coupled radiator fan and all the z4's of course have an electric radiator fan :wink: )

Maybe started out as an illustration of the M52TU... ?
Nonetheless, a beautiful illustration and definitely a work of art.
Should be hanging next to the Cosworth DFV in the NYMOMA.

No this is how it looks like in the e46/e39/z3
Somehow these type of illustrations really remind me of the 80's and 90's; maybe they were more popular back then (although this one was drawn in 2002)
