M5 V10 in a Z4!

Holy cow! Manhart Racing are squeezing the V10 from the M5 into the Z4 roadster....

Bit mental really... :)

I think the E39 M5 engine is a more natural partner for the character of the Z4 though :D

Mmmmm, 400bhp V8. That'd be lovely.

To be honest, anything over 300bhp/ton is overkill on the road. The standard 233bhp/ton is already plenty.
 
that engine often doesn't sound very good, at Gaydon we thought it was a 635d coming towards us then realised it was an M6.. Tunnels would be great fun though.

Think I'd be worried about winding it up too much, feels like it would pull itself to bits... :?
 
I'd still prefer to see an M3 V8 in a Z4 than that.. That said it sure is a very impressive modification and must be a riot on the road.

Yes i've read of that but i was talking about the current M3's V8, the S65. Some said (i think on this board) that there are clearance issues with that engine but come on a 5lt V10 fits and an itty-bitty little 4lt V8 doesnt?? :D

Having a V8 in the Z would be heaven as i think i said in an older post about my car maybe not on here but if she had a V8 soundtrack she would be perfect :D
