My current cars are an E39 M5 (2001, 40k miles, BMW warranty) and a Mazda MX-5 (1999, 50k miles).
Neither get driven a lot (my daily commute is by train, and much of our domestic mileage is done in my wife's Mini Cooper S), and I have been thinking of selling them both and just having one car.
The Z4M seems a reasonable option, giving the power of the M5 and the open top of the MX-5. I've also considered the Boxster (but too many of them about, and as a former 911 owner it feels like a step down), M3 Cabrio, Jaguar XKR and 996 or 997 Cabrio.
Is the Z4M the way to go? Anybody else been in the same/similar circumstances? If so, what did you buy?
Many thanks for any input.
