M5 F10 illuminated ZHP-knob

Hi.

Has anyone done this yet?

The M5 F10 know is a illuminated ZHP-knop and it's plug and play.

I will order this

I think the M5 one is slightly bigger and doesn't need any splicing.

As far as I'm aware the eBay one is a standard ZHP that's been modified. The M5 F10 knob is OEM.

Although it is rather expensive, I'm also interested...

From what I have read these come supplied with the boot. That'll explain the higher price.

No splicing required with mine, just plug and play.

Can't see the point in spending £40 more for same result :idunno:

Indeed. I think us Zed owners will need to look at removing the boot.

The eBay converted ZHP will come in at £85 delivered. Personally I'd rather pay the extra £30 for the F10 version...

Right, looking at this picture it would appear the boot is stapled to the F10 frame. It might be possible to remove the boot from the F10 frame and attach it to the Zed's (if they are a similar size). If that is the case you'd get a shiny new boot which will take some of the sting out of the price

That price will definitely make it a better buy than the eBay knob. I think it's worth giving Jamie at Sopers a shout as I reckon they'd come in at a similar price.

It does come with a boot attached but the knob it just attached to the boot with some simple clips.

I will try to fit the boot and knob to the oem Z4 frame , but if
the M5 leatherboot is to big/small I'll just remove the knob and replace my stock knob.

Of course I will, but meanwhile take a look at the link in my first post.

It's the exact same mod but on M3's
