M40i Wheel PCD

Wouldn’t some M4/5 wheels suit better Sars..? Or if it’s a keeper bite the bullet, order some M40i wheels and put winters on.

I’m awesome at spending other people’s money…..

All season tyres don't come in all sizes and BMW recommend 255/40 R19 all around for the winters, so I might as well stick with the 255/35 R19 and then possibly purchase a new set of alloys if I don't like V-FS36's on. It's also difficult to get a 4 off 8.5 x 19 ET32 and as we now know the PCD is a non BMW size @ 112 PCD so an old BMW wheel ain't going to fit

They are all Continental AllSeasonContact 255/35 R19 on Veemann V-FS36 8.5 x 19 ET35, 112 PCD and 66.6 CB, will either need to look at the TPMS sensors as they were for a Mercedes

Ah thnx..I had to use my Goodyear All Season Vector Gen3 as a result of a puncture inmy summer tyres and a need to get the car to a tuning shop..mine are 235/45 17 and 245/45/17 and have a number of issues with them..very 'boingy', feels squidgy on turn in on braking and traction control lighting up when overtaking / going quickly..

The 45 size profile can't help..I'll move on to try something else..

Quite a wide range of official tyre widths and sizes..I see BMW stablity systems can now cope with different rolling circumferences on the new G platforms..

Quite a wide range of official tyre widths and sizes..I see BMW stablity systems can now cope with different rolling circumferences on the new G platforms..

There has to be a some degree of variation, you could have new tyres on the front and nearly worn on the rear so even with a square set up there could be a 12mm difference in diameter, though like you I did find the diameter variations surprising especially with the 19” wheels, fronts are 255/35 and the rears at 275/35 R19, same profile but different widths

They must have better logic in later DCS units like on the G29..I think depending on who you talked to on the E89 about 1.5% ish was the maximum variation in rolling diameter before hissy fits..

The traction light was coming like a good un today..apparently the DCS senses the tread blocks walking and intervenes..had to put it in sports+ mode to stop that..
