After ronk’s question about boot space and Argyll Andy’s efficiency with a tape measure, can anyone tell me or measure the bolt PCD for their G29 M40i as I want to confirm that they’re 112 not the BMW norm of 120. Measure from the centre of one bolt to the centre of the next one or the one after and that will be enough

If I can I’d like to be able to use the Mercedes winter wheels which are the right offset and size, else I’ll need a new pair :D

Thanks

Sars, I went out and measured, theses bloody wheels aren’t the easiest to measure and with the implements to hand since I’m WFH I think it’s between 63-64mm between centre of the bolts.

Tried it with a tape and improvised pincers. The above measurements are with the two pencils pincer model

And yes, I know they’re bloody dirty, haven’t had time to clean them

Thanks Andy, so from your measurement

If you wouldn't mind try measuring across the maximum distance as indicated in the second image of 106.518 which should also be easier

Oh, I knew I had to mention it first. I haven’t had time since being out at the weekend and it was persisting it down with rain yesterday and today :P

Indeed you are, thanks again for your help

It also means that I can use my current winter wheels, thoughts? will they go?

No problem :D

I honestly don’t know, about how they’d look. Everything is quite chunky on the G29 and those wheels are more detailed. I think you’d have to try them on and see how you thought they looked on your actual car

My thoughts exactly, I'm not sure at all, CSL's in bronze would be my preferred choice on a red Z4 :D

Hey John, don’t hold back love, tell me what you really think, I’ve got my big girl pants on :P

I do love those wheels though and admit that I don’t think they’ll go, so I have a hankering for a set of Ispiri FFR6 in matt carbon bronze

They are all Continental AllSeasonContact 255/35 R19 on Veemann V-FS36 8.5 x 19 ET35, 112 PCD and 66.6 CB, will either need to look at the TPMS sensors as they were for a Mercedes

Wouldn’t some M4/5 wheels suit better Sars..? Or if it’s a keeper bite the bullet, order some M40i wheels and put winters on.

I’m awesome at spending other people’s money…..

All season tyres don't come in all sizes and BMW recommend 255/40 R19 all around for the winters, so I might as well stick with the 255/35 R19 and then possibly purchase a new set of alloys if I don't like V-FS36's on. It's also difficult to get a 4 off 8.5 x 19 ET32 and as we now know the PCD is a non BMW size @ 112 PCD so an old BMW wheel ain't going to fit :P
