M3

The M3 interior didn't look too bad tbh. Wouldn't be an interior colour I'd spec myself but it wasn't that bad.

I didn't like the red in the interior on the 320 tho, you can just see it,

So the idrive control is no longer central (like the e90) and now on the wrong side of the gear selecter for RHD :headbang:

Actually, its on the correct side for RHD IMHO. Because on my car its on the right and I'm constantly pressing the top button when resting my arm on the tunnel. If it were over on the left, I could reach for it when needed and not risk my arm pressing it.

I agree, I think it should be on that side. It felt more ergonomic to use it on the left side.
It had a 'proper' handbrake too, which felt weird!

Regarding handbrakes, made me think.
What happens with our electronic ones if there's a power failure?
Old school ones can be released but ours wouldn't be able to, is that right?

Probably. TBH if its jammed on, you'd need to lift the car onto the truck. On my car, with DCT, you've got the added issue of releasing that too, as well as the EHB

That's why we have an SOS button :)

I'll keep everything paid up to date, if there's an issue, press that and let someone else have the stress. (SOS= SAVE OUR STRESS)

I didnt think of that

So does that mean for the LHD its on the wrong side? or do they flip it (which i cant see them doing!)

Love those skirts and wheels on the 3-er. Are they from the M-performance range? If they are you might have a re-mapped 320d because they offer that as well!

Did you get your button fixed Carol?

All fixed Andy, a block connector had come apart.

Nothing too serious then. You do have to wonder how that happened. I had a similar issue with the lighting around that same switch, mine turned out it was because when I had some trim replaced (the ciggy cover wouldn't open), they'd taken out the entire tunnel cover and hadn't clipped all the wires back in! Yours hasn't been taken apart I assume?

No, never. In fact this is the first problem I've had with either of the two E89's I've had.

I think it hadn't been connected properly on build as it was intermittent for a bit then just stopped altogether. The wires must have been just touching then came adrift completely.

Aquazi. Yes, they flip it for LHD cars. The latest F series cars feature a return to the driver focussed interior with everything slightly angled to the driver. My 125 is really a very driver friendly place to sit which is something I always found slightly missing in e series BMWs.

OG. Doubt it would have the PPK as it doesn't have the performance brake upgrade either. When BMW remap the cars they completely replace the ecu and add a bigger intercooler. i think the intercooler is pretty unnecessary though as their remaps don't add as much power as some of the cheap piggy back boxes. The skirts, foils, grilles, spoiler etc are all part of the BMW performance range. Some of the stuff is a bit questionable such as the big M stickers but i believe these are separate from the black sticker.
