Yeah, i'd like to see them when you get a chance to take a few without the effect they put on it :)

Sounds good!

When my car back to me, I will take a new pics .
The sound Z4 - in real is huuuuge (Meisterschaft prepared this cat back for "off road only". No fun no risk :) !

Sounds absolutely brutal! How hard was the S65 transplant?

History this swap really started when Z4 has changed a workshop to Cybul Radical Solutions (after almost 1,5 year modification in other workshop !).
My BMW Z4 has motor as standard type R6 3.0, and the engine compartment is not designed to accommodate such a large block
Already it has caused a series of complications.
CRS workshop made exceptionally strong, customowe foot steel motor S355JH ...
As a result, for serial production BMW engine cushion under the hood there was no place. Moreover, their strength was questionable, were not designed for such use and so extreme high torque. The workshop decided to replace them more durable solution.
Instead of serial components , were used for the hardness of polyurethane sleeves 85ShA used in sports suspension systems.
The serial space fixings pillows did not allow for the installation of manifolds - meant the need for a more labor-intensive solutions - this element also made from scratch.
The steering column on the section bulkhead-Mangler is also 100% a custom item. With this modification Mangler has been in serial site, which is key to driving the car.
This procedure was performed in such a manner that in no way impair the legendary precision driving this car.
The challenge also proved to be correct and safe routing exhaust manifolds.
Left collector require the implementation from zero so that not only able to fit in the chamber but also to maintain the throughput and capacity.
Right collector was quite heavily modified too.
The rest of the exhaust is also of the highest quality components - thin-walled stainless steel pipes x pipe system, culminating in dual mufflers Meisterschaft, made on special order for this project.
S65B40 engine is significantly higher unit of serial M54, who was installed. When the engine is already found in the body Z4 , it was necessary to modify the motorhead Z4 (to up to 6 cm in central place ! ) The aluminum engine hood was modified and equipped with customowe increase in allowing the engine to fit. At the end of the whole sanded and varnished so that the mask looked at the item factory

All this work took 1,5 year.

The next step , also 1,5 year ,was the all electric and computer modifications (f.ex- prepared the new computer EcuMaster from V8 engine to start it and to be able to connect with the other original components Z4 etc, ect. I cannot explain precisely the rest of those modifications

p.s

Sorry for any mistakes in English in text.
I translated as best I can :-)

Need some pictures of that engine.... and some more vid/pictures of the build process if you've got any, Tom

1Noel, it sounds like a lot of hard work but your car is definitely one of a kind! Cannot even imagine how much the whole thing must have cost! The S65 in a Z4 chassis is pretty much my ideal engine-chassis combination for a BMW. Please post more when you can!

okay i posted the pictures earlier today in a different post didnt know that there was a post running here about this car.. i really love the interior, and when i heard the sound .. OMG didnt know it would sound this good !!

well done mate, cannot wait to see more pics and video of the car.

My Friends, many thanks for your opinions :)
In near future - I would like to add more pics/ information or video about this project

Not for me. Hate the body kit & not a huge fan of the interior either. Seats could work though.

Ok, I understand, but...
This body kit it's original aero_paket (bumper front/rear/spoiler/skirts) dedicated to Z4 (only for e85 or e86) and now is probably absolutely sold.
Original M-pakiet for Z4M it wasn't compatible for e85/e86.
Only diffuser is custom made (I would like to get the similar made by Ac Schnitzer 8 used in his project) . I spent a lot of time to build the diffuser and spoiler in carbon fiber (on market BMW parts you can't buy a ready to use this both elements).
More than this, BMW build for owner Z4 e85/e86 the diffuser for only one side exhaust system. I need for 2 sides, and that was the next challenge.
To have that , I rebuild floor trunk Z4 and changed the battery place (now is into trunk as is Z4M)

p.s.
Who don't like the Recaro Sportster SC ?! :D
Of course to install them in Z4, I had to adapt all points to fix seats to floor.
Next step - uninstalled the airbag side Recaro (too small place in Z4 for Recaro CS completely).
Easy to do? Dont necessarily. You can imagine ,it's easier to buy all new seat Recaro , than to buy in Reacaro factory (!) any parts to them ! In my case I need replace the hole after airbags...
Each step it was a challenge :-)

For a good evening :D

awesome project, it really need a good neaten up under the hood however to match the rest of the cars level of detail... I'm sure you guys will get round to it but some small attention here will really showcase the best part of the car!!

M bumper do fit the normal E85. i have the Original M front bumper fitted. you need to chance the undertray's ( 2 corners and the undertray in the middle) and it's all bolt on from there. Rearbumper wil fit but with a dubble exhaust you'll prob have to lose the batterybox ( and you need to have facelift rearlights wich you have).

The recaro's sportster CS are also avaible without the airbags so why didn't you buy them without them ?

I agreed- M bumper looks better then aero bumper. Probably for this resons I decided to modyfy them (I added 3 carbon's parts-central and 2 spliters).
Abt recaro I know there are 2 versions, but when I bougth Sportster CS with airbags, I don't expect the problems I was written above.
