I miss the car. No joke.

I miss the performance. I don't miss the seats.
I somewhat miss the gas mileage, but I'll take the 335i any other day. The turn signal didn't click three times. And the navigation sucked. Even with the updated DVD. I would have sprung for my own navi system, but why invest in that when maintenance on the car runs at least a grand every season. Mos'def expensive compared to a 335i or z4.

Overall, good car. Beautiful and precision-tuned motor with a drop top... almost meets criteria I set for myself when having to put myself in debt. Old, but classy. Not gonna lie, though... The zed turned more heads, and if not head... It definitely garnered much more positive comments than what the m3 received.

Not like I expect you folks to care one iota.. but paying for the m3 sucked. At least when I had my z4, the payments weren't as bad. Maybe my next "investment" will be an m5. Either one of those.. or an Aston Martin.

Not sure the cost to rub an M5 is going to make you feel any better ...

I'm saying... I hated paying for an over priced m3. Simply put.. I like zeds more

You thought M3 costs were high? Wait till you get an M5!

Perhaps now's the perfect chance to get back in a Z? A nice 35is maybe

OP - aahhh, understood. And commiserations. Though honestly, get yourself a 35i M Sport e89 and actually live the dream again until you can get the Aston

I'm waiting for my lottery check to come in the mail. Then I can pick up that m5. Might as well make servitude/slavery worthwhile. I can only imagine how many kids I would be creating... :)

I jest.

Right now... I have a zipcar membership. It's barely catching on here in California, let alone the states. There's also my woman. And she can drive a stick real good! That's besides the point, anyways.

E46 is the designation for Emily (my m3's name). It took me a good while to get those codes right, but I paid the cost.

From what I hear among gear heads, though, is that a used Aston isn't as expensive. But... that's used. and i would rather still drive some type of bimmer.

Realistically speaking/typing.. I would like a drop top 3.0si non-M. I don't know about the 335i or its sport trim. I received a letter in the mail about some type of lawsuit involving BMW with regards to their HPFP and that stupid rattling from the exhaust when in low rpm.

Don't get me wrong... They both have good qualities, but the bad.... Bleh. Seems to me like I had less problems with my z4, and I tweaked with that slightly more than my 335 or the m3 (didn't really DO anything).

Oh, well.

I remember I posted this on account I sold my car. I didn't mention to who or why. Well, I come home to visit my parents for the summer and in the garage is my dads car. Except, it's mine.. err, was. I unloaded that beast because I wanted to pour money into my own business. I gave it to my dad to sell, but nope. He didn't. He kept it. Now it's collecting dust in the garage. And to top it off, he doesn't even like to drive it! I'm not bummed I got rid of it, but it makes me thrilled my dad kept it.
