M3 or M4?

These are seriously impressive. BMW has stepped the game up this time. I also think the interiors are stunning.

I think the Bi-Turbo engines will feel very similar to the high revving NA similar to the V8 in the M5/6. But with much better MPG and road tax.

Not really sure what you mean maniac, the 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 use the same design cues and materials. But you have to dislike something

Blimey, it's got that number of buttons AND Idrive :o
I hope the voice activation is good.....
I like the current shape of 3/4 so was always going to like the M variants.
I think I may have seen the car to replace the Z (in about four years time, especially if they depreciate like someone predicted)
I think anyone looking at one should just go out and buy it.
I want some choice in 2017.. so if you could spec
Black with Tan Leather, top spec audio, not too big on the wheels, cruise control and heated seats please

Do you think it has too many buttons? Doesnt look like it has more than the E90/2 M3.

The E85/6 Z has very few buttons tho tbf! The newer generation of BMWs have a lot more.

I think the new one is an improvement!

Modern cars have so much functionality hidden away, they only have buttons for the most important bits - imagine how many buttons they'd have without iDrive

I'm liking. (Even the coupe :poke: :D )

Great call reducing weight in the roof and the specs are a good improvement.
Don't like it in blue tho.

BTW official 0-62 times are Manual 0-60 4.3 DCT 4.1

So 0-60 Man 4.1 DCT 3.9
Fantastic figures those

With 406ft/ibs of torque & little lighter to boot this is going to be one awesome package! :driving:

You'd want manual in a car like this surely?
I had a manual in my V8 M3 & pleased I did but the DCT is a fantastic gearbox too, my old Cerb had a 0 to 60 time of 3.9 secs & I thought it was awesome in the performance stakes yet my M3 never felt that quick to me but it was nearly a second slower to 60 & over 3 secs slower to 100 than the Cerb...but I am seriously looking forward to the next M3 as on paper it seems genuinely quick. :driving:

I think the 4 series interior/ exterior is a massive improvement on e92... But the same can be said comparing the e46 to the e90.

Personally i quite fancy the 3 over the 4 though... Not sure why... Think the 4 looks a bit too fast and furious!

I like the 3 but I'd always go for a 4 over. 3. I'm a sucker for a sleek coupe! But, interestingly, I was definitely in the minority over on the Pistonheads thread, where the 3 was getting a lot of love. Perhaps there is a bit of sentimentality for the old M3 name.

itching to find a pricelist here for the M4, I've fallen in love! can't wait to have a look at one in the metal..I think the 3 is actually a little sexier but +1 re sleek coupes! not interested in 4 doors these days. Not a huge fan of the interior that said, very fussy.

I know this is an old piccie, doesn't look like the finished product, but oh.. my... god...

I am with you OG & I don't think the M3 In the rear three quarter photos looks very good at all just ugly like the E90 (owned two E90s they are ugly but drive alright!) so ive always preferred the coupe shape aswell.

Those wheels are gorgeous

Hope they make an estate. Genuine statement, think the e91 was the best incarnation of previous generation. However I think they will stick with m5 for the tourer.

+1

Even better is if they do a coupe shooting break

This looks fantastic from the A-pillar back, but the bonnet is too short and too low (or the windscreen too steep). Still, I'd forgive all of that for the performance - in a coupe of course
