A 1M will be worth more in 2 years than a M235....and it's meant to be a hellova car
I wanted one when I was looking to buy my E92 M3 but my budget was £30k and they were fetching £39k but I did tell the salesman that was what I really wanted...I should have put some overtime in!!! :)

In hindsight a motor well worth stretching the budget for, with values barely moving since launch. And not dropping anytime soon by the looks of things.

I'm mass-debating whether to change my SLK.

I have some cash coming in soon, and I'm thinking between a Boxster (again) and an SL. The Boxster makes more sense of course....and yes there are F Types, but I just can't get my h was around driving a Jag. My budget will be about £45K

If you haven't done it then test the F type.

I've been lucky enough to have had several for a day or weekend.
6 cylinder is the pick Hess you want to go to the Full blown R, but that's too expensive.

The F Type is a very sexy looking machine from the outside and I think it was always going to be tough for them to match it with the inside, I know its narrow minded but I agree with you that rightly or wrongly for me there is an old man stigma attached to a Jag and I too struggle with it.

You would never have guessed it when you consider all the uproar of it only having a "normal" engine in it and not the usual M only power plant but its been a cracking investment for the few that got their hands on one and I think they look great in the metal too.

Lee that's it, and it's the word Jag which puts me off. I dont think there is anything they can do to change that stigma attached.

I would have an M4 any day of the week over an F Type....

What about the facelifted XK coupe? Gorgeous car just a shame it only comes in 4.2l +

Get what you guys are saying about the 640 vs M235i.

Disagree with the comments about VW vs Ford. I'd never buy a Ford.. far too commonplace for me (yes I know VW are mass produced too but they have niche models like my old Mk2 Scirocco was)

The only decent thing I have to say about Ford is the Ecoboost tech is fantastic and they are bringing the Mustang over for UK sale as RHD.

Still rather have a Challenger anyday though..

Don't get me wrong I am in a massively small minority regards my love for Fords! and I would imagine pretty much everyone would sooner have a VW to a Ford...I just like Fords from my days of XR`s a RS and a ST, I think a Corrado Storm is the only VW I have ever liked and I would rather walk than have to drive a Golf!

This is the kind of sentiment I can get behind for almost all brand ... (French cars aside  )

I think going to a VW is a step down from a BMW in any shape or form
Having a mk6 Golf GTi and an Audi TT, I'm in quite a good position to comment....

I totally agree

My m135i will be 1yr old next month and still puts a smile on my face. I prefer the practicality of the hatch but the 2 is a very nice car.

ha that video is just like driving across the runcorn widnes bridge apart from the runcorn people are a bit inbred and not hot....

not sure on the golfs ... too many ricers and dealers drive them here. i like the look of a couple i seen. as for an F type if i thought i could afford one i wouldnt look back. i see a few each week and the noise/looks i love. couldnt care less about the old man Jaaaaaaaaaggggg theme as its not a barge. quite like the xf but cant quite bring myself to cut my balls off and join the suburban dad brigade.

maybe a older 135i coupe, i just find the 1's a bit mundane inside compared to my z. dont like the other 1s but i was put off by stories of the 135i engine being ropey as hell.

like i said not for a while but its always worth looking.
