The first review is here. Seems like it lives up to the hype.

Wound't mind a M2 or an M4 for that matter.

But if you don't need 4 seats, then I'd buy a decent Z4MC and supercharge it. 450-525bhp is doable for £25k all in (at a reputable tuner of course) and would probably annihilate both :poke:

Of course you'd then need decent suspension and brakes at another £4k

...and of course it would never be worth what a used M4/M2 would

Insurance would be another matter as well (and one of the reasons I've not gone down that route)

You know what, an M2/M4 is sounding better by the day :P

Needs even more pumped arches! I saw an M4 again on the road the other day and at first i thought it was an M-Sport kitted 4 series.... Looked almost tame...

Agreed. My dealer had both a new M3 & M4 in the showroom and I actually thought the M3 looked the more pumped and aggressive. Didn't think I would say that over a 5 door!

Yes, I would defo agree, visually the M3 looks more pumped than the M4. However, I think it's because there is longer stretches of metal without openings, and the M4 is a gradual flare rather than a blister arch. We are splitting hairs though, both are awesome in the flesh.

Nice Find. Enjoyed reading that.

Why can't they just let the engineers lose after work though.

Almost the same weight as the M3/M4 and lesser engine. Why FFS :headbang: the accountants and the marketeers every time.

I agree and it's a real shame that they couldn't have made it more lighter than it is for sure.

Good to see the ZHP gearknob still doing sterling service in there - about the only part my car has in common...

In the run up to the official release they made a big fuss about how it was going to be all slimmed down, light weight and more of a focussed car than the M3/4. Seems they were talking rubbish.

The M cars always get a decent review but tbh i'm not expecting much of this after experiencing the M4. it looks like they've done the same thing of just walloping all the torque in really low so it can distance it's performance from the M235i. The M4 TC just cuts in constantly.
