Makes me laugh though that they will have new fronts and rears not 'sausage factory' approach. I wonder how long before it drifts to other models then we see the forecourts full of 318i diesel M sports with the exact same family look

in the looks department its exactloy what the 1M is lacking. Since the E89 Z4 is more of a cruiser than a B road barn stormer it makes sense this M2. Franckly I've never understood why they never calles the Z4M sipmly an M4 or M2 in the first place - it would have been far more successfull and different enough not to canabalise M3 sales.

Looks ok, but it'll probably be a soft turbo engine with shitty comfy armchair seats.

BMW need to make sharper cars, not soft ones that mean any old cretin can drive it quickly.
