M140i / Porsche brakes

My car isn’t a track car or driven particularly hard if I’m honest however, the standard binary brakes didn’t do it for me so I changed them this week. I now have a nice pedal feel and a more progressive brake pedal - more than enough for my needs 😊

I think that's an E90 series brake as I;ve just bought some from BMW..the M140i was fitted with 4 pot calipers not 6 pot..wrong colour as well, and I don't think Porsche fitted calipers with BMW Performance written on them?

Nice set of BMW Performance brake calipers, OP.

I had exactly the same set of calipers, on a 130i - some years ago now :D
Add a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads, or Performance Friction pads, for more 'Spirited' driving and they're, even better :driving:

Enjoy

Looks like a BMW E90 BBK to me also just like the one I have also recently fitted...nice piece of kit...enjoy👍

Nice! I am about to do this install myself. What adapters did you use? Also, did you flip the link pipe on the Porsche callipers?

Simon 3.2, they are really impressive and probably over the top for my car but I got them at a price I could not refuse.👍

I’m very interested in this for mine... what adapter brackets and brake pads are you using?

I’ll get the details from the guy I purchased them from and get back to you. They came with the brackets and extended rear hoses.

Were the rear Epytec brackets bolt on i.e no milling required of the Boxster callipers?

This is the reply from Bradz from whom I purchased the calipers - he has posted on the first page of the thread.

Are your front wheels original CS or CSL items? Did you require spacers for the front calipers?
