M Wheels and conti tyres

They where sold though here and as i say i had 3 other forum members wanting them, I think they where a fair price as i have said before you could not but the tyres for that and i dread to think how much wheels would cost, Must admit cant believe the fuss this has caused,
 
op you did good, i sold mine for 750quid with 5mm tread allround.......
its a lovely feeling when you get want you ask for :-)
 
Can't believe the storm these wheels have caused on here. I bought the wheels and tyres and as far as I'm concerned they are a bargain !! When you are looking at £200 a corner for tyres alone then it's a good price. I priced up brand new wheels and they are around £300 each, then add to that the cost of the tyres, you have the best part of £2K for a complete set. I want a set of genuine wheels and a reputable make of tyres on my cars, so this was the cheapest route for me. Added to the fact Tim was only 20 miles away, made collecing the wheels easier.

Seems to me that people who think they are only worth about £100 a corner for wheels and tyres of this caliber are expecting something for nothing !!
 
No, we have been around a long time and have seen dozens and dozens of these being sold but never at this sort of price, including for new sets.

Not much different if someone sells a 2006 M for £25k, it might be worth it to the seller but not to the (general) buying public.

The seller is (obviously) very happy, and you are satisfied and that is all that matters. We (the surrounding forum members) are just amazed at the price they went for as this is the highest ever, by a long shot.
