///M Wheel Comparison...

I swapped out my ///M wheels for a track event and went ahead and weighed them out...here is the comparison.

Front Stock 18" OEM wheel with 225/45 Michelin PS2 - 49.5lbs
Front ZCP 19" Comp wheel with 245/35 Michelin PS2 - 45.5lbs

Rear Stock 18" OEM wheel with 255/40 Michelin PS2 - 55.0lbs
Rear ZCP 19" Comp Wheel with 285/30 Michelin PS2 - 51.5lbs

Not only is it more tread...but it's also lighter...and you can tell.

More tread but less sidewall. Wonder what the wheels weigh without the tires? Interesting observation , and opposite what you would think.

yep...exactly opposite.

Not sure about the OEM 18" wheels but here are the ZCP weights...
24.0 lbs for the front
25.5 lbs for the rear

Mmm very interesting, I would have thought the 19s were the same or heavier, but not lighter.

Yup the CSL's are like 10kg each. Such a difference when you think about it.

Having no experience of wheel weights I did wonder, does this make the 18" OEM M wheels heavy or the CSLs a modern marvel? I would have thought the 18" OEM would compare favourably to similar wheels (OEM or third party)

The CSL wheels are made of "part" Magnesium..so very light.
