M stripe?

Hi Forum,

I have seen a few BMW's, limited edition white 'm' models I think, both 1 & 3 series driving around with a great looking dark grey stripe (approx 2" wide) running along the top of the side of the car, ie just above the wheel arch, down the edge of the bonnet, across the tops of the doors (under the windows not above) and seems to fade out near the edge of the boot lid. Am I seeing things? Is this OEM? Any pics please? Do you think the same will look good on a titanium silver Z?

If so, then it's apparently the Limited Edition BMW F1 Sauber 1 Series.

You can see them on the BMW website, they are in the Performance section. Only available on 1 and 3 series though.

Half way down are two Ok photos to show what I was talking about, it seems to be much meaner and cooler in the flesh! It looks better on the 1 series, also, the pics shown in the link above don't look quite right to what I have seen, I think half was a dark grey and the top half edge a slightly lighter grey, I think the pics are a homemade job to look close? Of course i'm no expert so I could be wrong...

That looks much better, ie two tone stripe. Anyone have an idea of price or better to go to vinyl specialist (signwriter shop, cheaper?)
