As Bing said if your switch pods are OK then you only need the covers for £130.
 
The problem with getting new covers, as opposed to spending £100 getting them properly painted and sealed with a matte lacquer, is that in another 16,500 miles you will need new ones again. I don't think they have improved the coating any - why would they on bits for an out of production car ?
 
As an aside you can't get all colours of trim bits nowadays. You may find replacements don't match door handles if you go for the silver shades.

My thoughts exaclty. I would only every buy them to sit and fit when coming to sell. TBH a rattle can can give the same effect as OEM for pennies and as you say probably more durable.

I don't know how you all struggle so badly with painting them. It's all in the prep work!!!!!!

Mine has 30k miles and doesnt have any wear.. But then i am not married yet with a wedding band... Maybe i can use this as an excuse not to wear my wedding band when i get married in june :lol:
