M Steering Wheel with tricoloured stitching

Brand new one, but it's the steering wheel only, so no multi-function buttons and no covers for the spokes.

not too sure how much this is worth as i think it comes all together. realoem seems to suggest $1,585.00 for the complete set, so circa £1k.

Open to sensible offers...

well i tried to figure out the RRP of what just the steering would cost and i get £647. so if my calculations are correct then i think i'd be happy with £500 + P&P.

I think you should give your dealer a call and ask them what the retail price is - you may find it difficult to shift, unless to an //M owner who badly needs a replacement.

The non-M (which as far as i can tell is only different in terms of stitching colour) costs only £220 with all the buttons and covers...

cs - You said what I was thinking...lol

I know Herminator got his ///M wheel brand new form a UK dealer for around £220 all in. I changed it over for him and it came with the 3 trim pieces fitted.

I imported my brand new non ///M MFSW with paddle shifts from the US for a little over £100 plus P&P, so they would be the best benchmarks I could have.

so how can they justify £1k for coloured stitching?? that just doesn't make sense?

this is how i calculated it....

complete set.......... $1585.00
covers................. $245.07
back steering cover.. $104.12
Connecting line....... $35.94
multi-func buttons... $225.00

so minusing all those parts from the set you get $974.87 or £600.07 @ $1.6246 (sorry, my previous calculation was wrong because i used the wrong exchange rates).

They really dont cost anywhere near that much... Youre using the same logic as buying the whole car peice by peice. Add it all up and itll probably cost you about £75k

You may have more luck under £200 :)

peddy - imho when selling something like this it's not about how much the original price might be but what the current value really is to someone.

///M red leather sports seats would be around £5,000 the pair. Can't imagine anyone would ever pay over £1,000 for a set

New clear xenon lights are about £2250 all in. Would anyone pay over £600 for a pair?

I have no idea how you got it, what you paid, etc. but do you really expect to get £500 plus P&P for it? Is someone so keen on red stiching over black to pay a £300 premium for it. The only people who would are for insurance jobs who buy direct from the dealer.

yeah when you put it like that i can see what you mean. i got it given to me hence why i wasn't sure of the price.

if it is brand new - you should have no problem getting £150 for it, if people have a multi-function already then they can swap the bits over.

I got my MSFW for £220 - still haven't got the buttons working though :-(

Spotted this...

so maybe around that price u ll get a seller??
I'd loveeeee an m wheel...but its tax month so maybe best not :x

I'd keep it for myself had it been given to me. I think the stitching looks great on the //M wheel but as the only difference I can see between mine and the //M wheel is that stitching, I'd be tempted to just pay d-Class to re-stitch my one. Good luck shifting it though Peddy, I bet it's a lovely wheel

because buying the panels for it would have been expensive i though i'd sell it and break even by buying the complete set of the normal one.

I just bought a M Steering wheel with tricoloured for € 450..

Don't say that.
We've just spent 2 days convincing peddy that his wheel is useless and I was going to offer him £25 to move it on and get it out of his garage
