M steering wheel with paddles

Hi everybody!
Is it possible to retrofit paddle shifters for M-steering wheel?

Yes - I have them and retrofitted them on several Z4's
If you can source them and new rear trim pieces, then with care you can drill the steering wheel to fit them using moulding marks as a guide. You'll need to do some wiring too and depending upon which model buy a new slip ring with 2 extra pins in and then run a twin cable to the auto box selector.

Not a job unless you are fairly skilled in wiring, electronics and reasonable at DIY

Thanks alot, CJ!
I have read FAQ written by you. The only thing that is not quite clear how to connect with the gearbox control unit. But I noticed that z4 has much in common with the E46, and for them there is a detailed manual about retrofitting paddles.
Thank you again for your time!

Easy - just tap into the 2 centre wites of the 4 going to the selector. One is up other down.
Travelling today but PM me if you need more info.
